Heritage conservation is essential to preserve a country's cultural and historical identity. Heritage objects, whether they are works of art, monuments or artifacts, tell the story of past civilizations and bear witness to the diversity of cultures. Archiving these objects on international servers not only ensures their durability, but also makes them accessible to a global audience. Using advanced technologies, these digital archives facilitate research, education and awareness of the value of heritage. Collaboration between nations is essential to guarantee the protection of these treasures, which are often threatened by time, conflict or indifference. By investing in conservation projects, we are helping to safeguard our legacy for future generations.
This page outlines the changes we've made to keep you safe during your visit. Museum entry is still free but you'll now need to pre-book a timed ticket online.

If you are a regular visitor you will notice new signs and markers throughout the museum. Please take care of yourself and others by keeping a safe distance from others during your visit.
Hand sanitiser and face coverings are available at the entrance and at key points around the galleries. We are also selling V&A face coverings in our shop. In line with government guidance, all visitors will need to wear a face covering inside the museum.
